In March 2022, we turned this derelict and abandoned yard into Blue Collar Corner. Featuring the very best street food in the UK in our kitchens, 10 lines of craft beer, Blue Collar Cocktail Club, events and killer DJ sets – we’re Reading’s biggest and best beer garden in the Summer and covered, cosy and heated in the Winter.
We have a limited number of booths available for groups of eight or more, which can be booked in advance. Otherwise, Blue Collar Corner is a walk-in venue with plenty of seating — just turn up, grab a spot, and enjoy.
Hosier Street, Reading, RG1 7QL. Just a 10 minute walk from Reading Station. Simply exit via the main station entrance, head down Queen Victoria Street, turn right onto Broad Street, and then left onto St. Mary’s Butts. From there, walk past Broad Street Mall and you’ll find us on Hosier Street—you can’t miss the buzz.
The best place to park is Broad Street Mall Car Park (RG1 7QE), just a 2-minute walk away. Or The Oracle Car Park (RG1 2AG), about a 5 minute walk.

Our visit did not disappoint. There was a good choice and we were pleased that both vegetarian and vegan food were also available. We had Blue Collar's own lager which was brilliant.
Wow, Reading needs a place like this, playing regular live free epic DJ sets & whoop!..We got it. An outdoor venue, which is has a roof covered with fantastic fake plants making a great atmosphere, a good selection at the bar, with reasonable prices & super helpful staff...
All very good value for money. We spoke to the owner, Glen, a lovely young man who was very welcoming and who has worked hard to get this business going. Good luck Glen, we'll certainly be back - highly recommended!
Went here on Saturday with a few friends and had such a good experience. Bar staff were super friendly, drinks were reasonably priced, toilets were clean, food was delicious and the music/vibe was awesome!
Fab venue with lots of lovely local beers and yummy street food. Friendly staff, lots of seating and super warm as have lots of heaters. Great spot to meet friends and listen to music when they have DJs playing.
Loved the vibe and energy. Delicious tasty food and the staff are welcoming, kind and friendly. Active every week and always busy which is great. Seating area available and plenty of world wide foods.
